The Installation Process
Residential Fence Installation
When the consultation has been completed and the estimate has been received, reviewed and signed, the first step will be the site preparation. Your fence installers will know if a survey is required for your neighbourhood before beginning. They will also require the location of all utility services before digging can begin. Sometimes there will be a gas line that interferes with digging and minor changes may be made to the overall design in order to keep safety and services a priority. Once all permits and services have been addressed they will begin marking the fence location and moving all obstructions. This can include shrubs, rocks, furniture and anything else that might cause issues for the installation. It is also recommended that the homeowner complete an overall yard clean up before the fence goes up. This can include eavestrough, old tires, tarps, broken furniture and anything else that may not belong in a new fenced backyard. Once the yard is cleaned up the fence installers will begin staking the yard. If the property lines are not clearly understood, it is best to build inside your own property line by a foot. This will help prevent any issues with neighbours. Staking the yard, means placing stakes in the places they plan to build and running a string line. The fence installation team will then start digging the post holes. This portion of the work will take some time since cement will need to be poured and dried. The fence panels or connecting boards will complete the fence afterwords the gate will be completed. When all is said and done you will have a straight, flush and beautiful new fence to enjoy for years to come.

Fence Maintenance
Wood Fence Maintenance
Cleaning and Washing your fence with a pressure washer will help it look fresh and new. You may want to consider staining and sealing your fence to help it withstand the weather year round. Painting your fence can extend its lifetime, however, do note that it will need to be freshened up as it will peel and discolour over time. Vinyl Fence Maintenance Cleaning and Washing your fence with a pressure washer is a great way to keep your vinyl fencing looking fresh and new just like wood fences. Stain removal may become something you will need to deal with. This is relatively easy to do.We recommend using dish soap, magic eraser or any mild soap to scrub and rinse repeatedly until the stain is removed. Vinyl fences do not need to be sealed, stained or painted. They are a great low maintenance fence. Chain Link Fence Maintenance Overall chain link fences are low maintenance, however, over time you might run into some rust. If you find rust developing on your chain link fence you can use a synthetic steel wool pad, sandpaper or an emery cloth to remove rust out of crevices and other hard to reach spots.
